Turnips and Collards

Purple tops didn't survive 9 degrees last year, but 12 degrees this year was ok. Roots from the ones I planted the beginning of October are in prime time. Good and juicy with no liquid needed to cook down, just two tablespoons of butter to start and hot sauce when done. Goes good with collards and country style ribs.

Mine in the yard garden did ok. Last year the cold did kill them back in the deer field. This year the deer did a number on them. This field was thick and 18” tall a month ago
They even ate a lot of the bulbs. BC4177F6-B960-4BAF-BFF4-9D98AA6B068A.jpeg09C7EC63-58E8-4604-BA0E-76A94CD15EE4.jpeg
