Windy! Get right in the middle of it....

Out this morning with McKinley on a sonar/fishing trip. We got started late, around 9am in his boat. We got his sonars (4 Helix 9's Mega SI units) set up and tweaked them up...then fished for 20 minutes on one hump where we boated 6 fish with Mckinley boating a toad. The wind was up pretty good and we got right in the middle of it.

We then put his boat on the trailer and brought to the house to work on tomorrow and jumped in my boat. Back on the water around 11:30am and fished for 2 hrs boating another 15-16 fish with some good ones.

Mckinley was fishing the whopper plopper while I worked the Lanier baits Jerk Shad in the new FZNH2O and Blue Ghost over 25'-35' brush on humps and drop offs....then we'd ease in and drop shot with Blue Lily and Purple Rain. The wind had them active. I showed Mckinley how I use the DI and 2D together and took a few pics of what we were seeing before fishing the area.

Great fun - Mckinley got to see how to fish offshore and how productive it is...I think he was shocked at what was happening out in the middle of the lake

Not a lot of trash talking...I think Mckinley was in shock when he saw what can happen with you find them offshore. We'll be back again I'm sure. LJ
