Won a new rod

Was at the WV state fair last week and the Healing Waters Vetrans group was there. They were holding a raffle for a vintage Orvis 6 1/2 ft 6 wt Superfine rod with 2 tips. Looks like it was never used. I ended up being the lucky winner. Never used a rod that short before.

Congratulations! Be a fine dry fly rod for some WV creek fishing, and really fun for bream.

Since it maybe hasn’t been put together for a good while be carefull bout forcing the metal Ferrell’s, might need a little polishing but go light to not over do it.

With the orvis silver tube I would say that rod is over 30 years old. Some of the old orvis bamboo rods from that era are worth more than new ones. Great prize for sure.

The Guy said it was valued around $1500. Got to get a nice reel for it. Hopefully something that matches the era.
Why does it have to tips ? They both look the same to me.

Two tips are pretty standard for bamboo rods. Congrats!
