Bad Plot??????

I planted four food plots during the last week of September which consist of clover (arrowleaf, Crimson, &white Dutch),Wheat, & Oats. Three of the plots look real good but one plot that is sloped on a hill did not look so good. I was thinking that the lime and Fertilizer must have washed down the hill from the rain before I got a chance to disk it in. This past weekend I decided I would hunt over the bad looking plot and to my surprise five deer came into the plot and were mowing it down. My thought has now changed. I'm thinking that maybe the plot has so much browse is why it is not looking very good. Last weekend was the first time I hunted any of the plots that I planted and to say the least, I'm very excited about hunting over them this weekend. Food Plots are the way to Go!

Get you some chicken wire and make a 3-4' circle with it and put out there. It'll show just how much use you are getting. I bets they are eating it as fast as it'll grow. :)
