First bird

Finally after years and years of trying i got one. We done no calling just got to we're he was heading and let a hen bring him by us. He gobbled like crazy this morning. He had about a 9" beard and 3/4" spurs. I couldn't be happier with this bird.

Thanks every one. I was almost to the point of just giving up completely. I've had so many close calls and nothing to show for it I had my doubts this morning.

I wasn't talking about just the season, I meant giving up turkey hunting all together. I've had some of the worst luck that I now of. From small trees, being busted, and people either spooling them on purpose or going in a difftent way and getting between me and the bird. I'm so thrilled that I finally managed to close the deal. Hopefully the wife will let me get out there agian Monday and I can get one of the others we heard this morning.
