Are you sure Lowe’s doesn’t have 16 ft pressure treated?

I've got white oak rough sawn on mine. It's close to being ready to replace but lasted about the same time as the pressure treated. If I had culled the sapwood boards it would have lasted several more years.

I bought 16' PT (2x6) two weeks ago at the Home Depot located on Old Peachtree Road next to I-85. Not sure if they still have it but you may want to give them a call.

Rough white oak and spray it down with 50/50 used motor oil and diesel. Beats pressure treated by a mile
Yep, you can put that mix on just about any kind of wood and if you keep it coated it will last forever.

I called ace hardware in winder and the have plenty of pressure treated.Going there tomorrow to pick some up.
I need to replace mine on my ten foot trailer I bought at Lowe's 11 years ago. How are you going to pop the new boards in place?

I just redid my 16ft trailer. (10) 2x8s with the 2 middle board's ripped down.

Saw and beat old boards off. Break off old board screws. Grind down broke screws.

I used the self tapping screws for reattach. Were easier to drive with 3/16" pilot holes. Especially when my new hardware got too close to original screw holes.

Coated boards with behr deck sealer; all sides, 2 thick coats.
3 rattle cans of rust inhibiting primer and 9 cans of satin black got the metal right.

20 yrs old and looks better now than when I bought it new.

Pic just after a rough fit of new lumber before stain and screws...

You should be able to find #2 grade PT 16 fters at any lowes or home depot.

There will be a fair share of grade#1 boards on the shelf. Hand pick the straight, knot free boards.

I used to paint a split rail fence with 1/2 diesel fuel and 1/2 roofing tar (Black Jack). That worked super for sealing. Also did the same on a railroad crosstie wall

The wood I used to replace mine from Lowe's was pretty wet. I used ratchet straps to pull it all tight and after a week or more in the sun I can run a finger through the crack between them. Let them dry before you put them down.
