It's a side yard. I was sitting on the front porch smoking a cigar and up out of the woods he came.

Boy killed one that went over 450 earlier in the week near Nimblewheel. Filled up the back of a truck!

I grew up running around there...last house on the left when pavement ends was my grandparents they built in late 80's...still turkey hunt it...if I had enough "friends" that would help get it out I'd bear hunt it.

Lots of bear sign on Black Mountain...saw a BIG ONE there last year off 60.

Dahlonega report from this week:
I passed on a young bear on Sat. I still haven't decided if I want one or not but this one was young. Looked like a big Rottweiler but had really short legs. Skittish acting youngster jumping when he would hear a noise.
My wife saw a young one this evening at the post office. Seems like more bears coming down looking for food.
