Been a hunter of deer, dove, and assorted small game since I was a kid but have never ever seen a coyote while out hunting or when I had a gun handy to shoot one. Several years ago on a hot summer day i had one chase a fawn out of the woods and thru my yard. But I can never see them for some reason while I'm out hunting. I would like to try and get into hunting them this spring and summer. I'm already set up with guns I figure to do the trick. Figuring on taking either a scoped .22 mag or 12 Ga with #4 buckshot. But what I need now are some hints at getting started. What do I need to do that I haven't been doing to try and locate them and or bring them in for a shot? Is it better to hunt them early morning or late afternoon? Any and all tips appreciated!
