New at it. Need tips on getting started hunting coyotes

Been a hunter of deer, dove, and assorted small game since I was a kid but have never ever seen a coyote while out hunting or when I had a gun handy to shoot one. Several years ago on a hot summer day i had one chase a fawn out of the woods and thru my yard. But I can never see them for some reason while I'm out hunting. I would like to try and get into hunting them this spring and summer. I'm already set up with guns I figure to do the trick. Figuring on taking either a scoped .22 mag or 12 Ga with #4 buckshot. But what I need now are some hints at getting started. What do I need to do that I haven't been doing to try and locate them and or bring them in for a shot? Is it better to hunt them early morning or late afternoon? Any and all tips appreciated!

im no expert at all. go on youtube and search.

remember they can see and smell great so you need to be downwind of where you think they will be. Set up a decoy and use electronic caller.

good luck
