Noise from heat pump is killing me.sound level is within specs, siund just annoys me. Anyone have experience w sound blankets?contacted mfg and they advised me to contact hvac installer .trying to save a buck

They are made of a heavy rubber or plastic coated felt like material and lined with fiberglass insulation. You might could make something if you found the right material.
