I was leaving Basspro and when I came outside there were several cops in the parking lot. I noticed the guys who had the gun stolen out of the parking lot were at the GON Blast walking around with a new gun. We over heard them saying they just had got the gun from the Blast and went into Basspro and when they came back out someone stole their gun out of the truck. Dang someone had to have followed them from the blast to Basspro then ripped them off. Anyone else know the details of what happened there?

That's crazy. I hate a thief. About 6 years ago I had my bow stolen from the blast. I was one heck of a heartbroken 11 year old. I hope they catch the crook and get the man's rifle back!

If you are of age, just tote the dang thang!
If not, get Pop to tote it for you!

There are thiefs and other undesirables EVERYWHERE!

"Gun Shows" are a prime target for people that can't
obtain them legally. Throw in a few "gatherings" and you have a
"gold mine".;) (in the parking lots, not inside)

I had to show a few what I MEANT at one not to long ago..
Face full of Gold Dots will make them run EVERY time.;)

So if I buy a new shotgun at the Blast I am supposed to carry it all over bass pro shops and maybe even to applebees instead of leaving it in the truck?

That parking lot at Discover Mills is notorious for automobile B&E.;)

That's it right there.

Bass Pro doesn't want to talk about it.

I have a close friend who's wife works at BPS. She is usually escorted to her car by a fellow male employee if he isn't dropping her off or picking her up at the front door.;)

When I go my truck is empty and when I leave I leave. It's not their fault. That mall just attracts the wrong element. Add a store that sells guns and there you are.

Not just the mall, same things happened at the old location.Crooks know sportsmen are more likely to have salable goods left in their vehicles. Same thing happens in Home Depot lots from time to time.

Yup...hate it for the person who had it happen to them....but I always drive the extra 20 mins to Macon BPS over Gwinnet BPS.

And now...I can drive just a touch further and hit up Cabelas in Augusta too!

Wow! I guess I won't make that drive then. I had planned to check them out soon. I stopped by BPS last Friday for the first time in 9 months. I would much rather buy off the internet, and have it delivered to my hone. Besides the prices at BPS are way too high.
