When I was younger I bow hunted a lot. I shot tournaments and I killed a lot of deer and hogs with my bow. Then as I got older I developed an arthritic condition in my shoulders and I just can't shoot a bow anymore. I haven't bowhunted in a long time. A good friend has loaned me an Excalibur crossbow to hunt with and this will be my first time using a crossbow....now my question is this: If I like this type of hunting and decide to buy a crossbow, what in your opinion is better...a crossbow that is not a compound or a crossbow that is a compound type bow?
