What type of bass is this?

A buddy and I caught over two dozen of these in a N. Florida River this weekend and I wanted to see what folks's thoughts were on this type of bass.

I am betting on the Sunshine bass or Guadelupe (SP) bass, that has just been recognized as a specie.

Pretty sure Guadalupes are just in central texas. Caught quite a few of them when I lived in Austin.

What Ruger#3 and AAcker said! Suwanee Bass. Cousin to the Shoal Bass in the Flint River Basin, and relative to them Yankee Small mouth Bass! Some more GOOD eating, and great fighters on ultra-light tackle.

Yes, I've always known them as the Suwannee bass as well. Some are darker than others, almost black at times. Fun fish to catch.

Its Definitely a Suwanee bass.
As was Stated Guadalupe bass are only native to central Texas.

thats a suwanee bass for sure, Ive caught many of them in south ga up to 3lbs they are some mean fish.
