Still kicking myself over this morning. Biggest take aways were, the buck came from the opposite direction I thought they would, I need to be more ready. Very rare do you get a 20 yard chance at a 130.

Waited to make sure Kentucky wasn't gonna beat Bama, settled in Buckshot Magnum now. Couldn't make it to Buck Hut , deer were in the field, and been a steady stream at the Gunslinger all day so didn't want to bump those deer either.

In my tree chair in Oconee on a pine transition into an oak bottom. Just as I got my chair set and I sat down a doe came running through at Mach 10 with her tail up. Not a minute later a little 4 point came walking through at 30 yards. He put his nose on the ground and started after that doe. I grunted and snort wheezed at him and he didn’t even pay me any mind. I put on deer shank pot roast before I left the house, it’s a win win either way! Good luck to all!

Had deer on camera at 2 of my stands at 3 pm. I chose to hunt in tower over looking fallow field with lanes cut in. Deer are mostly nocturnal here. Not alot of camera activity overnight due to weather. Hoping they get out early this evening.

I’m in Heard. Picked an easy spot to get into since I was running a bit late. Helped do a devotion for a 30-30 ministry camp at lunch. I’m watching some cut lanes in an old clear cut. Lots of fresh tracks and has always been a good evening stand.

Same stand as this morning. Rain has stopped, little gust of wind out of the north every few minutes.
Crock potted deer shanks are delicious.

On the ground in butts county not a lot of pictures on cams but have seen a bunch of deer from where I’m sitting and some chasing bucks. Now just need a biggun to come through

Bro in law sent me a video of a small buck swimming behind a doe. He’s floating the flint river from Crisp to Hwy 32. Said the buck ran her all over the woods and she finally jumped off about a 20 foot cliff. Doubt it cools him down.
