2-7 West Point Crappie

I snuck away for a few hours this morning, left the boat at home and got the dust off the kayak. Ended up keeping 27, all were 4-8 ft on jigs. Lot of boats on the lake for a Thursday. Most of them were catching crappie as well.

Not just the fish! We hit Brushy and it was a pain get'n and out. Looked like a conga line at the ramp and go'n out to the river.

Looking at that (Brushy/Big Cedar/Coosa) stretch of water on Google Earth and Navionics, it sure looks "fishy" and definitely skinny, with one small channel you need to stay in between river and ramp, depending on level. I bet it does look like a conga line sometimes. I still want to go fish it. Is it any less crowded during the week? What about cool rainy weekdays? Sure would like to meet up with someone who knows it well.
