4 Hog Weekend!

Went down to my favorite WMA for the deer hunt last week/weekend. No deer but me and my buddy ended up with 4 hogs. 1 Sow Saturday morning. 1 sow and piglet Saturday night during the deer hunt. Then 1 smaller boar Sunday for small game. Getting to know the WMA like the back of my hand. Going back down this weekend. Hopefully the .17HMR gets to scream this weekend.

Congrats! What ammo are you shooting out of the 17hmr? I’ve thought about taking mine, but don’t have faith in killing one with it.

20gr fmj or game point. My buddy shoots the .17wsm with the 20GR ballistic tip.

Take it I’m sure whatever ammo you are using will work! Just put that shot right in the ear or behind the ear. I’ve gotten away with body shots with the fmj but don’t recommend it unless it’s a smaller hog. I got lucky 2 times and hit the heart and lungs with the fmj and the hogs only ran 25 yards and dropped.

thank you sir! I love it! I’ve learned a lot this year chasing pigs and still am.

I'm not a fan of the .17 but that is some nice hogs. Keep up the good work! And keep posting pictures of them!
