Well it all came together this morning!
Hunting Oglethorpe county on some land I bought in January. Had a doe yearling come out at 45-50 yards and this buck was on her heels. Almost had a moment of weakness and shot him with the rifle, but decided to give it a try since he was in range. Got the revolver up and elbows propped, squeezed the trigger, and he mule kicked and ran 20 yards into the woods.
I could hear him fall and thrashing around. Waited about ten minutes to quit shaking so I could climb down and let him expire, then climbed down and laid hands on him! First buck with this revolver and 41 mag caliber, and also probably my biggest buck ever.
Will attach more pics later, but here are the first two I took.
