Friday afternoon my oldest and I went to look for sign on a peice of property that my late grandfather had leased since the early 80’s. I cut my teeth on this property but haven’t got a bird there since he passed. We saw a gobbler in the food plot all by himself at 6:00 so we slipped through the pines and set up. We gave him 15 minutes or so before calling and after the 2nd cluck he hammered 50 yards away. He came right back in and boom!!!! 22.5 lbs 1.25 spurs and a 12 inch beard. Always love sitting behind my favorite hunting partner but I think someone else coaxed this one in. Thanks PawPaw.
