A test of marksmanship

Let me tell you... these little critters, when caught in a snare, will test your skills, and try your patience. Several times, I told this little girl to hold still, I gotcha in my sights, but no, just before I'd squeeze the trigger, off she'd go to the other side of a clump of swamp grass. Dang, that's frustrating. I finally got one round into her and that slowed her down enough to finish her off. I don't like it. I prefer a quick kill, but this one was not cooperating.
Pond owner is glad to have her gone. He has a fair amount invested in stocking it.

Maybe you got it out in time to save that pond. They will usually clean a pond out..then move on to another !
