Abnormal Feather in Fan

Anyone know what might cause this characteristic in a mature gobbler fan feather? It is looks thin and undeveloped.

Could be one that didn't fall out the last molting process, or just never fully developed.

Was it like that when you killed it? If not you’ve got a beetle problem. They will tear up some feathers. If it was like that when you killed it it may be what six said
