DYI hunting

Jackson County Tract: Trails are worn down. Deer seem to be hitting the feeders some, but not alot. There were alot of green acorns on the ground after that last wind storm but this week there are not many left on the ground. Saw two yearlings bucks, a spike and a 3-pointer. No new rubs that I can see. Deer seem to be keeping to the old trails.

Banks County Tract a.k.a. "Behind the House": Summer trails are being used alot but tons of tracks in areas that normally don't see much deer traffic. Deer seem to be moving everywhere and it is hard to figure out where they will be next. Saw a fawn and younger doe early. Saw some dog or coyote crap. From the yelping at night, coyote seem to be coming outta the swamps farther this year. Hope they don't come too far. Haven't looked for rubs but noticed one new rub leaving the woods. No one hunting the local area of about 500 acres this year so this should be a good one.
