I'm looking to buy a video camera to record my hunts. I want one for under $400. I'd like a view screen, good zoom, reasonable, low light picture quality, reasonable video resolution, waterproof, variable mounting and easy download.
That's what I am doing right now. Just started this year and it's loads of fun. Can't help you on that budget, but I'm sure someone will come along and give some good advise.
I have a Panasonic HC-V180. Its a great little camera for the money and the zoom is amazing. It takes a standard mounting screw on the bottom. My only complaint is that I cannot hook up an external mic. Also, when zooming in you can hear the zoom in the video. That would be fixed with an external mic, but there isn't a port for one on this camera.
