I would spend a little more and get a Wicked Ridge M370. It is very lightweight and compact.

Another vote for Wicked Ridge. I've got the Blackhawk 360 (my first xbow) and I really like it. Sportsman's Guide has it at the best price I could find anywhere. WR and TenPoint (who builds WR) do have a proprietary nock. It's either use their arrows or spend another 2 bucks per arrow and change nocks.
I have a center point and really like it , $300

I just bought a used Wicked Ridge RDX400 on archerytalk.com. It's my second crossbow and it's the 2nd bow I've purchased from that site (my Mathews Halon 6 was purchased on there last year). You can get great deals on that site with lots of added accessories from guys that are either selling to buy up or just aren't happy with what they bought. Price bartering is common and shipping is usually included with their list prices. It is buyer beware, tho, but you can see the seller's history to gauge what he has done in the past.
