Well, I just HAD TO check this out, and it is a fact, the old Colt cylinder spins clockwise.

Two Smiths, a Taurus Public Defender, and the GP100 all spin counter-clockwise.

Now I'm curious if NEW Colts spin clockwise...

Somebody go check!!!

Kept digging, and actually found Dad's old holster that he wore fishin' and huntin'!!

It's a very well worn Brauer Bros.#27. I hosed it down with Rem Oil, and rubbed about a gallon of Mink Oil into it, and I think it's gonna live!

I was sitting on a box and a half of ammo, hadn't shot any in 20 years. So I made a little road trip to Jerry's in Ambrose today, and bought four boxes of PPU.

Got home and fired half a box, just to make sure it still works good, and all systems are GO!

The Kid and Little Brother are gonna get a kick out of shooting this 100 year old dinosaur of a revolver.




I believe I'll even carry it once in a moon, just because it's there... What's the point of it staying locked away?

Now to go give it a good scrubbing that it hasn't had in 30 years.
