Do deer eat hay

Dutch

AMERICAN WARRIOR
supplemental feed feeder....

concrete slab, 6x6 posts, steel trusses, and metal roof. Feeder is a modified cattle creep feeder with trays added. It holds six tons of feed. Just hook the tractor up, tow it to the bin and shoot er full, back in place filled up in under an hour by one person.

It takes alot to impress me, but that there did it.

That is a nice setup...and the deer have no problem using it?

I don't think deer can digest our native hay/grasses..or not very well anyway! IIRC it has something to do with deer only having 2 stomachs vs. the 4 that a cow has. Now,Alfafa is a different story..IF you can grow it + get them used to eating it..they LOVE it. As to placing hay out around your stand...I feel certain that a GW would scratch his/her head  & write you a warning,at the least.

Dutch, like anything else deer get used to something and pay it no mind. They have no probs eating out of it. The feed stays dry under any conditions in there...
