Duramax 3.0

Looking at used Chevy/GMC 1500 with the Duramax 3.0 for my next truck. Why is it some are 19/22 mpg and others are 22/29 mpg?

Seems to be a solid motor from what I’ve read online, any personal complaints?

How does it do on DEF? I have read that it can be a guzzler for DEF. My 6.7L Powerstroke burns a tank about every oil change so it isn't too bad.

Mine has only moved one little bar in over 700 miles. It’s really really good

Bought a 2023 GMC 1500 with Duramax 3.0 back in February. First diesel I've ever owned. Love this truck! 23.4 mpg from the day i bought it. Averaging 24.5 to 26.5 on most trips now. 600 miles to the tank. 3000 miles till it needs and additional def and the def tank is located right next to the fuel tank.

6800 miles and I've put 2 containers of def in it to date.

I have been averaging 29.53 to the tank checking it by gallons and miles when filled up. My best 50 mile average is 37.4. I have 5300 miles on mine and the lifetime average by the gauge is 23.4. My deff is the same as yours hardly ever put any in it. You tow heavy loads and it will use a good bit more
