I copy and paste well.
I sprayed both this year to get broadleaf and grass. DID NOT MIX the 24DB and Clethodim per recommendations. 24DB 3 oz per gallon NO SURFACTANT. Clethodim .5 oz per gallon w/ .5 oz per gallon surfactant. Worked well!
The 2-4db needs some kind of crop oil or surfactant. The label is best but if you’re ever unsure look at the chemical. If it’s watery, it probably needs it. If it’s thick and oily like Roundup, it usually doesn’t.
That means to not mix it in liquid fertilizer, you would have to use a surfactant if you tank mixed it.That's what I thought but after reading on some other forums and also on the label, "Use Butyrac in water only. No Surfactant or Crop Oil needed" I did not add surfactant to the Butyrac 200 (ie 24DB). I did add surfactant to the Clethodim. Apparently a lot of people mix 24DB and Clethodim but I sprayed separately as this was the consensus. Did a great job of knocking back the grass and broadleaf in my clover.
