Eating fresh

My wife went down with a foot surgery on Friday so my little girl and I are at the helm till further. We got all the chores done yesterday and still had time to butcher a few magnum meat birds. Breast meat was just over 2lbs per bird.
She made mention of wanting tacos so we whipped up a batch of fresh tortillas, guacamole, and chips along with some good deer meat. My little girl "10 year old" knows that mom can't go out to eat right now so she brought the restaurant to her. She is such a sweet soul and I see so much of my late grandmother in her every day.

I know my grandmother would be so joyful to see the memories being made and the traditions passed down in her house. We are trying to slow down and get back to more of a simple lifestyle for our daughter.
