Fall Planting - The Plan - Tilling Method

I always get good (and new) ideas on this forum. This thread will be basic, but looking for new ideas.

Fall planting - many on here mow, disc and plant the same weekend. Others spray at some point and then disc/plant. I have always believed that mowing and spraying on the same weekend is pointless (glyphosate only works on thriving weeds, not distressed ones). So, must mow - then later spray - then later disc/plant.

Opinions on how much time between each of these activities..??

I sprayed today. Now I’ll wait till weather/rain works out to to plant. Usually end of September, first of October. I like it dead so I can plant when I want. Way easier to harrow dead stuff than green. And the dead thatch helps keep new stuff from sprouting.

We always spray plots atleast 2 to 3 weeks before we plant so everything is good and dead where it’s much easier to work the dirt
