Today I got an alert on my phone we were under a tornado warning. So I called up Ole 60grit to see if he was aware and tracking it and to verify my family was safe while I was at work. I asked him to send me a screen shot of the location.
I went to Google maps after he sent me the screenshot to verify I was reading the location correctly on the map he sent. Lo and behold google maps had a marker of the warning in the exact location 60grit had indicated on his screenshots. A few minutes later I went back to Google maps to show a coworker whose house was in almost the direct path and the marker had moved to the rotations current location.
So I learned today I could track a tornadoes real time movement in Google maps. Just thought I would share with everyone else so yall can see if you or your family is in the path in the future.
