Hangups in MEC

Has anyone ever had powder stack up in the dump tube of a mec 600 jr. (HS 7)

Not in my 9000...is the tube clear? Should be able to fold the charge bar back and peep in with a light.

Steel shot yes, powder no.

Rap on the side of it w the back end of a screw driver. See what falls out.

No powder. Never loaded steel shot. But lead shot? Big YES! It ends up bouncing all over the floor and furniture.

I have had spider web get in there and cause problems ...

I always cleaned out. With a shotgun mop ...clean ....sprinkled down good with graphite powder .... Cleaned out then problems....added a slick coat for the already coated powders ....

Yes it has happen to me several times, makes a big mess.

I haven't had powder do it, but shot does it all the time in the .410. I keep a small jewelers type hammer with rubber head on it to tap on the tube before I pull the handle all the way up after dropping the shot. Odd that powder would stick, that tube is pretty big compared to some powder drop tubes on metallic presses. You don't reckon you have a humidity problem?? May need to clean the drop tube, maybe lube with some graphite??

I have had spider web get in there and cause problems ...

They like to get in your propane grill burner ports also.
