I was referring to the outside doors leading into the house...not the safe room door. It is much more difficult to bust in a door that swings out than one that swings in. If I ever spec a house all the external doors will open toward the outside.


Then all someone has to do is knock the pins out of the hinges and slide the door out

I Want Fancy Words TOO !
I had a space under my staircase designed for my safe. It's double walled 5/8's sheetrock for extra fire protection. I looked at doing a room but in the end just changed my mind. A friend has a safe room and he quit using it due to various reasons. I think he realized he didn't really need it for the few guns he owns.
