We put a fence around the farm house recently and we have three pear trees in the yard.

In spite of a late frost, we had good pears.

Caught this one in mid flight!!!!!

Yeah she has.

She had to jump out of the ditch or from the other side.

Only got the one pic there.

Must be jumping in somewhere else as they are in the yard often and not jumping there.

Pears and apples always bring them in.
First time I ever seen a pic of one jumping a fence like that. I knew they could jump a fence if spooked but never would have thought for food.

Fortunately, this is not barbed and there is a cross bar to help them.

I just don’t want them to tear the fence up.

We were gone 4-14 November.

Our farm was a little slow this year. Looked like the acorn drop may have been light this year.

My brother shot and missed on a great 8 the first day. 20 yard shot on flat ground - we are not sure what happened.

That deer was all over the farm / I had him at 50 a few days later but could not get him closer.

Tag soup for us but some years are gonna be like that.


Deer are still in the yard at the farm all the time and I don’t even know why - pears are long gone. Guess they are just eating the pecans.
