A typical outing in either sport goes something like this; for every 5 strikes (shots) you boat (bag) 1 fish (bird)!! The only difference that stands out in my mind is "catch and release"!!

I don't think I'll have the patience to let these dumb things sink. Can't see them working any better then an underspin (which gets down quick). Maybe for a shallow spot or schooling fish.
Still like to hear more about the type of area they work best and how to fish them.
Don't set the hook with a spy bait, just lift or sweep to the side. The light line and small hooks aren't really conducive to a hard hook set. That was my mistake. Softer rod will help also. Like a medium light spin outfit instead of medium
