Gotcha! I guess I only catch them from late Feb to late March cause that is pretty much when I'm up there. Once the water level cooperates I start fishing the Hooch coming out of West Point. They are a delicious little fish, I like them better than white bass.

I can’t remember where I heard about that but knew to be careful. Those gill plates are sharp!

I'm a slow learner.... bout bled to death before I learned that holding those gills closed would make their mouth open up... and save on the stitches.
