I have a spot that's about 20 yards wide and around 60 yards long. I'm wanting to plant it to bow hunt over. My question is, when to plant it so it will be ready for season but not to early to where they eat it up before season. Also what would be good to plant???

Waaaayyyyyy to early. You may can plant some i.c. peas about mid august to hunt over...you could plant a plot now and let them eat it up to somewhat condition them to the area.

Plant the cereal grains the first -mid October

the only thing that will eat the oats will be the Army worms. Wait until it cools down. Mid-September or later.
