Went out to try out our newest Mexican restaurant, Las Palmas, I had the quesadilla rancheros, it was great. Watched the Braves win, now watching our hometown boy, Ty Floyd pitch in the college world series. 
Fine plates ! I had some deer cube , fried then simmered in gravy . Fresh green beans and cucumber . It was fitting

Just some homemade apple drop cake & ‘niller ice cream tonight. Had a late lunch & wife insisted we try the cake!

That apple cake and ice cream looks good, can't eat icecream in the late evening anymore, innards don't like it, even though I do. Watching the fire burn down and sipping apple pie from a jar right now.

From the wife’s old family recipe book!
Was very good. Kind of like an apple spice cake of sorts.
She corrected me too-Guess it’s called an Apple dump cake, not drop cake.
The only difference she made was not adding the nuts, but added caramel.
