Anyone ever hunted the public land around Lake Eufaula on the Alabama side?

Someone told me in the past that the Archery area is awesome during the rut and gets very little pressure. The problem is I can't remember who told me ::huh:

Glenn: In addition to ENWR, you can also bow hunt the Corps of Engineers "red line" area all the way to River Bend Park in Chattahootchee County. Most of the red line is accessible only by boat so it receives little pressure. Probably the most heavily hunted area is Rum Creek just above Florence Marina SP. As with WMAs the further you get from a public access point the less hunting pressure. Parts of the refuge are accessible only by boat, while the "Bradley" area can be reached by road. Once at the check-in station it's foot or bicycle only. The Corps property requires a permit from the Corps of Engineers in Ft. Gaines (I think it's still free) while the refuge requires a permit from the office in Eufaula Al. Most people use Rood Creek Park, Florence Marina, or Hatchechubbee Park (Ala.) for access.
