Well the time has come to chase after a dream of ours and after almost 2 years planning we’ll be crossing the border tomorrow am to chase moose. Rolling through Iowa now and some of the crops are out of the fields already. Going to try to update daily if signal allows.

What is the deal since pretty boy made practically everything except a Daisy BB Gun illegal? Do you, as a paying tourist hunter, have to go by the so many joules restrictions on your rifles?

We had to do some things at our local customs office and we have to fill out some forms and checkin at the border. We shall see what that process will be.

The goal is to harvest a legal bull with compound bow which you do not have to declare. Rifles will be used if we can’t get inside 50 yards

I never cared much to bear hunt or elk hunt.
I always thought I would enjoy a moose hunt though. Especially with a bow.
Would love to be dropped off at a remote cabin for a few months.
