Low light options for public land

Since hogs tend to come out after the sun goes down, I’m thinking about a good setup for my Ruger 44 mag carbine. I currently have a Nikon P-223 on it, but looking for something better suited for low light hunting. I know a quality scope with a lighted reticle would be good but I don’t want something too bulky on a carbine. This would be for either brush or stalking. For longer range I would use my deer rifle instead, which I’ve used to kill numerous hogs.
Thoughts?

I have a Nikon Buckmaster 3X9X40 on my .44 Mag carbine. I stalk hunt the thick swamps with it all the time with it. I cannot imagine needing anything else on it.IMG_0207.jpeg
