Cons: Heavy, screws can back out, loud, slows string a ton, allows torque on the string

Loop Braid...Pros: Lightweight, easy to tie, less torque on string, faster than metal loop

I've been slapped on the forearm with a string d-loop before, I imagine a metal one would really sting!

It hurts bad enough to remove it immediately and smash with a hammer trust me.
It still kinda hurts 25 years later.
