One of my favorite freshwater fish. I love those little rascals.
I have never caught or eaten one. I'd like to try both.

That's some fine eating !!! My grand daddy would clean 'em, run 'em thru a hand grinder, make patties out of them and fry 'em up, bones would cook thru

Yes sir they do .... but they are not as common as they used to be ...creeks used be full here in S GA .... some still there just not like they used to be(at least around here)

I think the record is two pounds but the bigger ones in the picture are pretty much as big as I’ve caught out of this creek

Not sure... But you can grab the spine and pull every bone out of the fish from the top. D LISH US.

yes the do but gash them down each side every quarter inch and they cook away or soften or something they ate good!
I have never eaten one. Like to try one. Just being ignorant and honest, look more to me like bait than food.

Best eating fish around to me each one of these had a belly full of crawfish the bigger ones were about 8-10 inches long the tiny one was just a good picture

A good neighbor has a fish fry every October.
Out of courtesy the women folk are first in line.
