OK woodworkers. Help, please.

I recently came about buying several Guatambu 1” sticks. I have read that these are commonly called “Brazilian hard maple.” Has anyone ever worked with this wood? My plan is to make Guatambu, cherry, and walnut cutting boards.

Sorry. No experience with that particular species but I'm sure it would make a fine cutting board.

Be sure to use tools with sharp blades, and fresh sanding belts or paper. The harder the wood, easier it is to burn the wood when shaping it.
