Protein supplemental feed?

Has anyone seen an improvement in the deer since you have been feeding them with this stuff? Or is it all a come on?

It works, but only if applied at the appropriate scale. Here's a good breakdown of what it takes and you can expect only a 10 to 14% increase in average B&C score.

I run 3 of the 55gallon drum feeders on my 32 acres . I fill them with 200# of corn and 100# of 18-21% protein pellets every 4 weeks. I have lived here 3 yrs and seen good improvements. There is plenty of natural foods that I also enhance yrly. There has definitely been a significant increase in deer activity over the 3 yrs. . Depends on how close you live to the area you are trying to supplement as to how much return you can achieve. The dollar value of about 4-5 dollars a bag more for protein is worth the return IMO. There is not a lot of deer hunting pressure around me so I don't feel like im investing for surrounding property either. Good luck and I would say yes to your question
