Question about cats

Sometimes i drift to find where catfish are hanging out. When one is caught, i anchor. If they are there, here's what to do. Put down a mushroom anchor with some stink bait smeared on it. Straight down below the boat in 15 to 22 feet of water. If cats are around, you wont be able to keep up with two poles. I use big red worms for bait. That bait also catches some nice shellcrackers.

Buy some cheap fish sauce at the Asian market.
The cheap is about 2- 3$ a quart. Ain't nothing but fermented anchovies or herring and salt with trace amounts of oil.
(the good stuff is actually good to cook with, just sayin')

Take a plastic coke bottle and punch a tiny hole in the cap and the bottom with a pick or finishing nail. Fill the bottle with the fish sauce. Replace cap. Tie string/twine to retrieve it with around the neck ring of the bottle and sink it with a weight.

It will take all day (or night) to empty through the tiny holes. You can drag or drop one from a boat too. Fresh or saltwater.

Cheap and it works. It works good. ?
Don't spill none on anything you intend to keep. ?
