what is the proper shot placement on a bear with a bow?

Center and center. Its not like a deer where you can look at the sholder and squeeze one right behind it. There is alot of hair that hangs down. So go half way between his gut and his back and just a little foward between his rear and his head.

when he is quartering away with his front leg forward put it in his arm pit and he will not go out of sight.

I love the leg forward with a bow and I am trying to shatter that offside leg when I go through there. with a rifle?? sorry guys I like the "earball" No tracking, no trailing, no running down the mt., to have to be drug back up it. He's "DRT" dead right there.
