Any baitcaster but I prefer my Lews Super Duty on a shorter rod than usual. Takes a loooot of practice and I’d use braid as the backlashes are easier to pick out while getting it down. I use a spinning rod when skipping an ocho type worm.
I went out yesterday to practice skipping docks. Kinda wish I knew the braid trick earlier. I brought two reels back needing new line. I can't seem to break myself of trying to skip too hard (fast?). My goal this year is to become proficient at skipping.
