Smoked shrimp

I've got some big beautiful Gulf shrimp, and I'm gonna put 'em on my smoker.

Anybody ever tried this? I was thinking about putting some Everglades Heat on the peeled shrimp and hot smoke them on pecan wood for an hour.

You can try it and see, but I'd guess grilling them for about a minute or two on each side would turn out better.

Hillbilly is right, just a few minutes. I actually brined some once and oysters like brining fish. They still only need a few minutes. If you grill shrimp, the shells will stick and be hard to peel after only a few minutes. Of course no problem for me, I eat the shells too.

Wonder if you could get to a low enough temperature say 160 or so and have be able to have go long enough to get some smoke. Pellet grills, you can get into that range.
