Stand question

Went from a API predator that I hunted out of last 30 years to a summit Goliath this year. Couldn’t get replacement part for the API. Question is, when climbing up or down, do u keep the seat in front or behind your legs. In front seems to get in way with the tree, if it’s behind, u gotta step back over it to set up the cushion. This is my 1st hunt outta the summit. The API I could put together or take apart & pack from around a tree in the dark with ease because I’d done it so many times. Just feels awkward because I’m not used to the new one yet

I keep mine in front of me and fold the back of seat toward me. Doesn’t get in the way at all. You can even use the straps on back of seat to secure it while you climb.
