Thread author'name?

Just a suggestion...may not be possible.

Some threads have many responses and it's easy to forget who started the thread in the first place. This is especially true for large threads, ones that may be viewed over the course of days. When you reopen the thread, you are indexed to the next unread post, and you have to go back to the first page to find the author.

On one web board I visit (NextDoor), they place a simple "author" indicator beside the name of the person who initially started the thread. That way, even if you are 50-100 responses into the thread, you can tell who started it.

Not a big deal but nice to have. Being able to identify the author would save some "who started this dad-blamed stuff" comments when 5-10 pages deep in a thread.

The OPs name is at the top of every page under the thread title.
Always appreciate feedback to improve the forum.

We had a similar feature before we changed over to this new format.
'Discussion starter' was beside each of the o p's posts.

Now you have to look up at the top of the page under the title of the thread. It says who started the thread.
