Finally took weekend off to do a little turkey huntin . Got to the farm yesterday and. It was beautiful weather , get up this morn to rain n thunder . ?

yes, ran down after work yesterday to camp, hunted from 4 to 8, was watching forecast, decided to drive back home, glad I did as it started storming at 4am and continues now.

Went out at noon when the rain quit , a flock of 6 Jake’s came in at 12:30 . Only 5 left . He’s only my 2nd turkey ever and first one in over 20 years .

He was the biggest one of the bunch ,I was hunting from one end of my food plot and they entered from the opposite , they spotted my decoys and froze up , after millen around for a few mins while eye balling the decoys , this guy got brave and finally decided to investigate a little closer . He came to 30 yards and stopped with his head up . Boom! It was a really fun hunt !!!!!

Thats the way to hang with them. I ended up coming back to Buford instead of hunting in the rain.

I gave up early too yesterday in Washington Co when the rain really started whipping at about 9:30. I was in my deer stand with a roof and was getting soaked so I hung it up.

Didn’t look like the rain was going to stop anytime soon but I guess I should have hung out in town for a bit and went back.

Next week will be there again.
